14-17 OCTOBER 2011
INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL NICE

Normandy has managed to preserve its identity and authenticity throughout the centuries. Where earth meets sea under an ever-changing sky, this place is a living canvas that inspired the greatest artists : Claude Monet, Eugène Boudin, Raoul Dufy, etc.
Thanks to these artists, paintings depicting Etretat, Honfleur, the Seine River valley, Rouen and the Norman countryside have travelled around the world.
Normandy offers visitors a rich cultural and historic patrimony : medieval fortresses, wonders of Gothic art like Mont Saint Michel, abbeys and cathedrals, the Bayeux Tapestry and castles surrounded by romantic parks and gardens.
An approach to our heritage including modern museography may include visits as varied as the beaches of the 1944 Debarkment, stud farms in this quintessential horse country, the Giverny Gardens and the house where Claude Monet lived from 1883 to 1926.
In Calvados country, where delicious Bénédictine liqueur, oysters and cheese can be tasted, it is a gastronomic trip as well !
