Henri Matisse's studio in Vence : To paint and to live in Villa le Rêve

Villa le Rêve, in Vence opened its doors to art lovers, looking for a place to stay, rest and work in harmony with history, nature and atmosphere. Located only 10 minutes walking distance from the historic town and 100 meter from the Rosary Chapel, villa le Rêve, an old Master's house in colonial style, in which Henri Matisse lived from 1943 to 1949 welcomes you with an exceptional view from the garden of 2500 m2 on the old town, the hills behind Vence and the coast line.

This programme, especially designed for groups of painters with their painting instructor, offers the opportunity to work in Matisse’s studio and live in the Villa between April and October. The rest of the year, it is possible to come work in the Villa and stay in a nearby hotel or bed-and-breakfast.

transglobe will take care of all the details: reserving the Villa, transfers, excursions, dining in restaurants in town, etc.
